OUR STORY

ROOTED IN A JOURNEY

Every meaningful journey begins with a question.

Years ago, I was building a life that looked successful from the outside. Yet beneath the constant movement, I sensed something was missing. I longed for a life that felt slower, richer, and more deeply rooted in what truly matters. That longing eventually brought me to Kauaʻi - and, over time, to Mana Cacao.

The story of Mana Cacao isn't simply the story of a business.

It is the story of learning to slow down, trust God's timing, and discover that the richest life is often found in the simplest moments.

THE BEGINNING

The Life I Longed For

What kind of life was I building?

What did I want my days to look like?.

What would it mean to create something that reflected my faith, my values, and the beauty I saw in God's creation?

I didn't know where those questions would lead. I only knew I could no longer ignore them.

Looking back, I can see those quiet questions became the foundation of the life I now have the privilege to live - and the inspiration behind everything we create at Mana Cacao.

A NEW HOME

Kauaʻi became my teacher

When I arrived on Kauaʻi, life began to slow in ways I hadn't expected.

The mountains, the ocean, the changing light, and the rhythm of the seasons invited me to notice what I had often overlooked.
I discovered the joy of growing food, preparing simple meals, gathering with friends, and finding beauty in everyday routines.

Most importantly, my relationship with God deepened.

I began to understand that abundance isn't measured by how much we accomplish, but by how faithfully we live the life we've been given.

DISCOVERING CACAO

What began as a personal ritual became a calling

My morning cup of ceremonial cacao slowly became more than a drink.

It became a daily reminder to begin with gratitude.
To slow down before rushing into the day.
To create space for prayer, reflection, and presence.

Over time, I found myself experimenting with recipes, botanical ingredients, and small handcrafted products - not because I planned to build a business, but because I genuinely loved creating them.

The more I shared them with others, the more I realized these simple rituals were creating moments of connection far beyond myself.

CREATING MANA CACAO

A business was never the destination

Mana Cacao grew naturally from the life I was already living.

Every recipe.
Every label.
Every candle.
Every bottle.
Every cup shared across the table.

Each became an expression of values that had quietly been taking root for years.

Rather than chasing trends or creating products for the sake of consumption, I wanted to craft beautiful objects that help people slow down, gather together, and experience ordinary life with greater intention.

TODAY

More than what we make

Today, Mana Cacao continues to grow, but the heart behind it remains beautifully simple.

To create products with integrity.
To honor the people and ingredients that make them possible.
To celebrate craftsmanship.
To practice hospitality.

To cultivate gratitude.
And to remind ourselves that the richest moments in life are often the ones we almost overlook.

This is only the beginning

If you've found your way here, thank you.…
Whether you've shared a cup of cacao, lit one of our candles, cared for your body with one of our botanical oils, or simply spent a few moments reading these words, you've become part of this story.…

My hope is that Mana Cacao encourages you to slow down, notice the beauty already surrounding you, and create space for what matters most.

Because the story is still being written.

And I believe the most meaningful chapters are often the ones we never could have planned.
